South Milford U12’s 1 v 7 Pontefract Sports and Social U12’s (06/03/2010)

Pontefract  started this match in confident manner, excellent passing from back to front lead to the 1^st goal, tucked away by the ever threatening Benji Precious. Pontefract continued to attack South Milford and it was only a matter of time before Ponte added to their goal tally. The second, third and fourth goals came in quick succession and were scored by Brad Nelson, Luke Wilson and Brandon Bown.

Matthew Bailey had little to do in the first half but when called upon was as ever solid in Pontefract's goals, as were the back four marshalled by Danny Griffiths.

In the second half Pontefract made a number of substitutions but this did not seem to affect the balance of the side. Luke Wilson and Brad Nelson added 2 more goals soon after the break , South Milford finally got on the score sheet with a well taken goal. Pontefract restored their 6 goal lead through Ryan Brown who scored from wide on the right.

The Man of the match award was shared by Danny Griffiths and Brad Nelson.

Pontefract Sports and Social U12's 4 v 1 Garforth Villa U12's. (13/03/2010)

This was definitely a game of two half's, Pontefract started the match playing into a strong wind and Garforth used this to there advantage by playing some long balls from back, but Pontefract stood fast and repelled everything that Garforth could throw at them with some excellent work in defence from Danny Griffiths, Josh Smith, Brandon Bown and Josh Hickling and socials keeper Matthew Bailey. Then with the wind behind them Pontefract broke the dead lock with a deft finish from Ryan Brown. With some excellent work from Brad Nelson, Robert Newlove, Jake McAuley and Luke Wilson in  the Midfield Pontefract scored twice more through Benji Precious, before Garforth pegged one back. Josh Kidger and Ash O'Connor came on as second half subs and slotted in nicely. Brad Nelson added a fourth goal late on to give Pontefract an excellent 4-1 victory.

MARKET WEIGHTON RANGERS 2-8 PONTEFRACT S&S under12’s

Pontefract began their season in style with an emphatic away victory, Luke Wilson got social off the mark & Bradley Nelson added the second soon after. Rangers replied with a well taken free kick & some good pressure saw them get a deserved reward when social scored an own goal but, with Matthew Bailey in goal & Ben Logan & Brandon Bown impressive at the back Pontefract had the foundation to push forward in search of goals. Elliott Plant put the game beyond doubt with a goal either side of the break, then from a corner Nelson headed home his second, a typical Jake McAuley finish saw him dribble the ball through the defence before smashing the ball home for goal number six & in the closing minutes good work from Benji Precious & Ryan Brown saw Nelson notch his hat trick from close range before Rob Newlove rounded off the scoring with a great finish from the edge of the box. In a great team performance the man of the match award was shared between socials new signing Sam Dale who worked hard throughout & created numerous chances for his team & hat trick hero Brad Nelson.
